The Greenhouse is the «domain» of a number of plant species requiring special environmental conditions mainly as far as temperature and humidity are concerned. Usually they belong to certain taxa of the plant families Cactaceae, Euphorbiaceae, Aizoaceae, Crassulaceae, Liliaceae and Compositae.
Among other species, visitors may become acquainted with the sugar-cane (Saccharum officinarum), some pepper plants (Piper spp.), the impressive insectivorous Drosera binata as well as with the responses of the touch-sensitive leaves of Mimosa pudica.
